As the autumn season gets into full swing, chef-proprietor of The Elephant in Torquay, Simon Hulstone will be joining Josh on the pass on October 17th. The Elephant restaurant has held three AA rosettes since 2005 and in 2006 Simon and his team won Torquay its first Michelin Star, which it maintains to this day.

Since heading up the team at The Elephant, Simon has brought his extensive influence of traditional and world cuisine to Torbay, putting the English Riviera on the culinary map. The Elephant was awarded a Michelin star in 2005 which it maintains today. Simon and his father, Roger (also a successful chef) took over Burridge’s tea rooms on the Torquay harbourside in 2015.

A few years ago Simon and his business partner to created their own dedicated farm in south Devon. With almost 100 acres now in operation, they raise free-range pigs, hoggets, turkeys, chickens, geese, sheep and alpacas (for guard duties apparently), along with growing the fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers that supply the restaurant.
