Richard Bainbridge will be joining Josh on the pass on 25th July cooking a special 6-course Tasting Menu,
Josh and Michael cooked together on Great British Menu, where he won the competition with 2 of his courses in 2015.
Richard is the Chef Owner of Benedicts and came from humble beginnings to running michelin starred kitchens. Cooking has been a life long passion. Over the last 2 year he has been able to fulfil his dreams of opening and running his own restaurant.
With an emphasis of using local and seasonal ingredients, modern techniques are at the forefront of what Richard does but the heart of his dishes is steeped in classical french heritage, thus creating the perfect alchemy of old and new.
Richard has gained experience over the last 20 years from chefs such as Michel Snr and Alain Roux at the Waterside Inn in Bray, Günter Seeger in Atlanta, Georgia, Kevin Thornton in Dublin and Galton Blackiston at Morston Hall in Norfolk.
Benedicts is a contemporary bistro with classic values, serving sophisticated food in a relaxed environment in the heart of the beautiful historic city of Norwich. It is independently owned and run by husband and wife team Richard and Katja Bainbridge who have over 20 years experience in providing some of the best hospitality. Since opening the doors in June 2015 and consolidating their skills together with a dedicated team Benedicts has gone from strength to strength. The food is modern British with classic french undertones using the best of local produce and suppliers in East Anglia.
